8 pm, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1941):  Spencer Tracy, Ingrid Bergman, and Lana Turner star in what some consider the finest adaptation of the classic Stevenson novel.  Ingrid Bergman is particularly stunning as young Ivy who is killed by Hyde.

10 pm, Eyes Without a Face (1960):  This French classic follows Doctor Genessier (Pierre Brasseur) as he attempts to help his daughter who was disfigured in an accident.  When all else fails, he begins to steal the faces of beautiful young women.

11:45 pm, The Body Snatcher (1945):  Boris Karloff stars as a menacing grave robber who supplies a local doctor with fresh cadavers.  While the doctor should have teh upper hand, Karloff’s character seems to know exactly what to say to get what he wants from the man.  The film also stars Bela Lugosi.

Saturday, October 22nd

1:15 am, Phantom of the Rue Morgue (1954):   A scientist uses an ape to carry out murders in this classic creature feature starring Karl Malden and Steve Forrest.

2:45 am, Macabre (1958):  From the master of the gimmick, William Castle, Ürkütücü tells the story of a scientist whose daughter is kidnapped by a mad man and buried alive.  With time running out, the scientist must play the evil man’s game to attempt to save his daughter.

4 am, The Corpse Vanishes (1942):  Bela Lugosi stars as a doctor who wants to keep his ancient wife young and beautiful.  In order to do so, he and his cohorts steal young women.  He then extracts a fluid from their glands and injects it into his wife.

5:15 am, The Brain that Wouldn’t Die (1962):  More science fiction horror as a scientist plots to keep his wife’s severed head alive until he can find her a new body!

6:45 am, The Killer Shrews (1969):  Yep, you read that right!  An evil scientist’s experiments manage to turn your average, every day shrew in to a giant man eating beast!

8 am, The Devil Bat (1940):  Bela Lugosi stars as an evil scientist who trains his killer bats to attack when they sense a certain scent.  He then incorporates that scent to an aftershave lotion, which he delivers to his enemies.

9:15 am, The Seventh Victim (1943):  Kayıp kız kardeşini arayan bir kadın, New York'un Greenwich Village'ında Şeytani bir mezhebi ortaya çıkarır ve kardeşinin rastgele ortadan kaybolmasıyla bir ilgisi olabileceğini keşfeder.

8 pm, Jaws (1975):  Cue the most famous music cue since Psiko, and settle in as Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, and Richard Dreyfuss set out to stop the giant great white shark attacking people off the coast of Amity Island.

10:15 pm, Jaws 2 (1978):  Another great white is on the prowl outside Amity Island and it’s once again up to Roy Schieder’s Chief Brody to stop the beast from killing his family and protecting the island he loves.

Sunday, October 23rd

12:15 am, Jaws 3 (1982):  The great white returns to stalk an oceanic theme park as it nears its opening.  One of my favorite scenes in this series of films come when a group of tourists are in an underwater set of glass tubes and child calls out to his mother moments before the shark attacks!

8 pm, Frankenstein Created Woman (1967):  Peter Cushing once again takes on the mantle of the infamous scientist.  This time, he places the brain of a recently executed murderer into the body of a beautiful young woman who recently committed suicide.

10 pm, Frankenstein Must be Destroyed! (1970):  Dr. Frankestein (Peter Cushing) works with a brother and sister in order to pull off the first successful bran transplant.  Will he succeed?  Or has the doctor finally met his match?

12 am, The Phantom Carriage (1921):  This silent classic finds a doomed man attempting to atone for his sins before he dies.

2 am, Epidemic (1987):  Lars Von Trier directs and stars in this film about a director and his assistant creating a film about a deadly outbreak of disease unaware that reality is mimicking their film in the world around them.  Udo Kier also stars.

3:15 pm, The Gorgon (1964):  Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing face off against a gorgon in human form who is turning local villagers to stone.

4:45 pm, The Curse of Frankenstein (1957):   Bu yemyeşil adaptasyon Frankenstein Hammer Studios'tan Victor Frankenstein rolünde Peter Cushing ve Yaratık rolünde Christopher Lee rol alıyor!

6:15 pm, Rasputin, the Mad Monk (1966):  Christopher Lee gives a tour de force performance as Grigori Rasputin.  Although not the most historically accurate film, the movie shows the mad monk’s rise to power, and the brutal method of his assassination.

8 pm, Horror of Dracula (1958):  Christopher Lee’s Dracula is on the hunt for brides in this Hammer classic with Peter Cushing in hot pursuit as the able Dr. Van Helsing.

9:30 pm, Dracula, Prince of Darkness (1965):  A group of travelers unwittingly waken the evil Count Dracula (Christopher Lee) who immediately sets his sights on hunting them down to regain his strength.

11:15 pm, Dracula has Risen from the Grave (1969):  Dracula (Christopher Lee) has been exorcised from his castle by a local Monsignor (Rupert Davies).  The count immediately begins seeking his revenge by stalking the Monsignor’s daughter to take for his bride.

Salı, Ekim 25th

1 am, Taste the Blood of Dracula (1970):  Three bored middle aged men contact the servant of Count Dracula (Christopher Lee).  Lord Courtley leads the three men in a ritual to bring back the Count back from the dead.  The three men, however, soon kill Courtley and to exact his revenge, the returned Count ensure that each is killed by one of their own children.

2:45 am, Scars of Dracula (1970):  Christopher Lee returns as the vampire count!  A young man arrives at the vampire’s castle investigating his brother’s disappearance.

4:30 am, Dracula A.D. (1972):  Cult members manage to resurrect Count Dracula (Christopher Lee) in swinging 1970s London.

4:15 pm, Logan’s Run (1975):  In a futuristic society that worships youth, people are executed in a religious ceremony at the age of 30 years old.  One man, Michael York in the role of Logan, is sent to destroy a group of dissenters, but he is soon awakened to the truth.

6:15, Soylent Green (1973):  Go ahead, you know the line.  Scream it out loud.  “Soylent Green is people!”  This dystopian futuristic film is filled with horrors, not the least of which is unintentional cannibalism.

 

Cuma, Ekim 28th

8 pm, Dracula (1931):  The Universal classic directed by Tod Browning and starring Bela Lugosi tells the story of Bram Stoker’s famous vampire in beautiful atmospheric settings.  Not to be missed.

9:30, Mumya (1932):  The ancient mummy, Im-Ho-Tep, is brought back to life and disguises himself as a modern Egyptian as he searches for the woman he believes is the reincarnation of his lost love.  Boris Karloff is masterful as the returned Prince.  This is a classic for a reason.

11 pm, The Invisible Man (1933):  Claude Rains stars as a scientist whose experiments in invisibility drive him insane in this Universal Classic.

Cumartesi, Ekim 29th

12:15, The Wolf Man (1941):  Lon Chaney, Jr. stars as Larry Talbot, the son of a British nobleman (Claude Rains), who is cursed with lycanthropy after being bitten by a werewolf.

1:30 am, The Black Cat (1934):  Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff square off in this tale of a Satanist who has stolen the other man’s wife and daughter.

2:45 am, The Uninvited (1944):  Ray Miland and Ruth Hussey play a brother and sister who purchase a palatial home at a phenomenally good price.  Only after they move in do they discover why.

4:30 am, Island of Lost Souls (1933):  An early adaptation of H.G. Wells novel, The Island of Dr. Moreau, the film stars Charles Laughton and Bela Lugosi and tells the story of a mad scientist who sequesters himself on a remote island and begins creating a new race of beings that are half man, half animal.

6 am, The Devil-Doll (1936):  An escaped Devil’s Island convict uses miniaturized humans to wreak vengeance on those that framed him.  Lionel Barrymore stars as the man seeking revenge.

7:30 am, The Leopard Man (1943):  When a leopard escapes during a publicity stunt, it triggers a series of murders.

9 am, Bedlam (1946):  Anna Lee and Boris Karloff star in this film about an actress who seeks to reform a local asylum.  When she begins to stir the pot, the evil asylum director has her committed against her will.  The finale of this film is as brutal as it is satisfying.

12 pm, The Black Scorpion (1957):  Giant prehistoric scorpions terrorize the Mexican countryside.

1:45 pm, The Blob (1958):  Steve McQueen stars as a misunderstood teen who fights to save his town from a giant gelatinous monster that is slowly consuming the locals.

3:15 pm, The Village of the Damned (1961):  George Sanders stars in this tale of an entire town who is subdued by a mysterious force.  Upon awaking, the women in town find they are pregnant and their children are both powerful and pure evil.

4:45 pm, The Thing from Another World (1951):  A research team in the arctic fight off an alien monster bent on their destruction.

6:30 pm, Earth vs. The Flying Saucers (1956):  More sci-fi horror as invaders from space attack the nation’s capital.

8 pm, Blood and Black Lace (1964):  Eva Bartok stars in this tale of a mysterious killer stalking the models at a famous design house.

9:30 pm, Carnival of Souls (1962):  Herk Harvey directed this tale of a church organist who is haunted by the undead after surviving a car accident.  The film has reached cult status with its own followings and midnight showings all over the country.

11 pm, It’s Alive! (1974):  A couple’s use of fertility drugs result in a monstrous infant.  The infant escapes after killing the delivery team and an investigator begins tracking down exactly why this happened in order to stop its murderous rampage.

Pazar, Ekim 30th

12:45 am, The Baby (1973):  A social worker, still reeling from the loss of her architect husband, investigates the eccentric, psychedelic Wadsworth Family, consisting of a mother, two daughters, and an adult son with the apparent mental capacity of an infant.

12 pm, The Tingler (1959):  In this William Castle classic, scientists track down a creature who lives on fear.  Castle famously installed buzzers in theater seats to be set off during the film to frighten theater goers with his immersive scares.

1:30 pm, The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939):  Charles Laughton stars as the mysterious bell ringer Quasimodo who falls in love with the beautiful Esmerelda played by Maureen O’Hara in this classic tale that focuses on what makes a monster and what makes a man.

3:45 pm, Dead Ringer (1964):  Bette Davis stars as a set of twins.  When one murders her rich sister and attempts to take her place, the results or a whole different kind of horror.

6 pm, The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971):  Vincent Price takes on the title role in this stylish horror film.  Dr. Phibes brings down the plagues of ancient Egypt to his wife’s death.

8 pm, Young Frankenstein (1974):  Mel Brooks ve Gene Wilder, Frankenstein Dr. Frederick Frankenstein'ı atalarının evine seyahat ederken bulan ve büyükbabasının işini tamamlamak için baştan çıkaran franchise. Madeline Kahn, Marty Feldman, Cloris Leachman, Teri Garr ve Peter Boyle gibi yıldızlardan oluşan bir kadroyla, bu kaçırmak istemeyeceğiniz bir film.

10 pm, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948):  Bela Lugosi stars as Dracula in this horror comedy.  Abbott and Costello run afoul of the vampire’s plot to put the brain of a simpleton into the Creature.  Lon Chaney, Jr. also makes an appearance as the Wolf Man!
